Informers serve to display entries of particular modules on any pages of any sites. For example, you can output the latest forum threads or most commented photos right on the main page. This helps to make your site more interesting and handy for the visitors.

To create an Informer:

1. Go to Informers section on the main page of the Control Panel.

2. Press Create informer.

3. Select necessary module in the field with the pop-down list. (Additional options will appear depending on a module).

4. Set parameters of the options Number of entries and Number of columns.

5. Press Create.

6. Insert the obtained code of the type

where you need.

7. Informer appearance and the information for output can be edited in informer template. Type of information (uCoz codes) depends on the source module. List of codes, available for a certain informer, is under the form for editing template.

With the help of the informer, you can output information both on pages of your website and on any other site in the internet.

There are no explanations for the codes, used in informer template. This is because informers are a serious thing and you should not edit informers without good knowledge of HTML and uCoz system.

Where should I put the code of informer?
Control Panel -> Design -> Design management(templates).

View list of entries or categories and you’ll find their IDs.

Is it possible to output entries in random order?
Yes, when you select a type of entries sorting you can choose the item "In random order".

Is it possible to make $ID$ code in the informer with Photo Album, because photos often have no names?
Do not output a name at all.

How can I output an image, belonging to the news entry, in the informer?
Edit informer template and insert a variable that will display the image.

No.

No.

Mar1aN, no, there is no such informer. It is only possible to create informers for most viewed entries for the whole period and only for each module separately.

I have an informer for all module comments is there a way to take out one module and leave the rest

I dont want the board comments to show uo anywhere(informer or comment history)

Hello I have reached the limit of entries that are shown in my informer (40) and now when a new entry is added it doesnt show up. Is there a way to make it always add newest entries and just remove the last one so it wont exceed the limitation (40) ?

eseN, in informer set sorting mode to: Entry date D, and it will always add newest entries automatically:

Informers display entries, but my entries is images with text and i wont to display only images, i am already delete from the informers tablet all information i don’t need to display like date and category but i cannot separate the text from the image can somebody help me please? Maybe i can hide the text? Or should I find other way like make changes on edit entries form?

I install Publ module. It has 10 catergories. I need to export the comment of one category only. I dont need the others. Is there any way to export for 1 category?

Good, I'm afraid it is not possible. It is possible to display entries on certain categories, but not comments.

akselcho, you can customize the informer template as you want in Control Panel -> Tools -> Informers -> the informer you need -> Informer template.

hi everyone, I have a little trouble cry

ex: I have 2 cataloge A and B. (sites new)
A have 10 posts (A1, A2, A3 .....A10) and B have 15 posts(B1, B2, B3..... B15) .
I want to create informer. when access B1, or B2 or B.xx the informer will show related post in only cataloge B (random), When when access A1, or A2 the informer will show related post in only cataloge A (random)
I try any way but all fail b/c I don't know how to use <?if...> well. (i don't mention related post by Tags, I want to use INFORMER to defeat my doubt)

Can anyone help me?
