Now uCoz has it’s own feature for creating Sitemap files.

How to use Sitemap feature

Step one 1. Site search module is installed by default and is a required module. Sitemap is created automatically for a website and for a forum in the File Manager.

You will be able to find two new files in the root folder of File Manager: sitemap.xml and, if you have a forum, sitemap-forum.xml.

Sitemap is updated automatically once per 2-3 days on conditions that the information on the website has been changed.

Step 2. Now you need to get the obtained files to search engines. Let’s take Google as an example.

Google. Go to Webmaster Tools, select a website or add a new one. Click “Add” under Sitemap -> enter your Sitemap url and click Submit sitemap.

After the files have been checked and indexed, the links from Sitemap will appear in search engines at the next update.

I'm not active on the forum anymore. Please contact other forum staff.

zinobios, your file will substitute the default Robots.txt file. More information about it is here http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/23-4687-1#20039 (read the first post)

Yesterday i deleted my robots.txt (with File Manager) but when i write today at browser http://mysite.ucoz.net/robots.txt it found it and it say:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

What can i do now to resolve this problem ?

I want to have a robots.txt that allow all the contents of my site.

When i submit the http://mysite.ucoz.net/sitemap.xml to google, it not accept it and i see a X.

I cant do nothing with this ? I must wait 30 days ?

zinobios, There is a 30-day quarantine for new websites in the system. The more detailed information is here:
http://faq.ucoz.com/#29
http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/23-4687-1

As a rule it is not reasonable to submit a website to search engines till 30 days after its creation have passed. If you still want to unblock the robots.txt file for your website to be indexed sooner, you can pay for any of premium packages in the website Control Panel -> Top Bar -> $ -> Paid services.
Please see the screenshot: http://faq.ucoz.com/screenshots/paid_service_packages.png

zinobios, The maximum size of the file for uploading via FTP without payment is 15 MB. When you pay for increasing the disk space, the size of the file uploaded via FTP is increased as well. The maxim size of the uploaded file to the website via File Manager is 15 Mb.

it means that the size of the file is so big that it can't be uploaded via File Manager, only FTP

cyberworlds, if your site has not yet been created for a minimum of 30 days you will not be able to add a sitemap. Secondly I would advise to check the links to the sitemap as you only need the site.ucoz.com/... not the full url.

cyberworlds, exactly that. When I first used webmaster tools I forgot to take off the http:// on the front of the sitemap link and it was pulling up errors. SOrry for not being clearer. You still need the rest of the link.

cyberworlds, a sitemap is not something for people to look at. It is used by web crawlers and search engines to index the pages in your site.
