uCoz Community General Information First Steps with uCoz S57 Server (DDoS) |
S57 Server |
When I look at your http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/3-14706-1, I have noticed that all other servers on the forum experience less issues than S57. S57 seems to always have DDoS attack issues?
Is this the only server that Ucoz uses for their clients? Isn't there a possibility to switch servers? As a business owner, and Ucoz client, I would much rather have technical difficulties and/or hard drive rebuild issues than DDoS that takes down the whole site and the Admin site as well. We cannot access the Admin site to notify our customers that the site is down for improvements/repairs - it just shows as non-existent. Please provide me with a plausible solution. Personnel, s57 up until very recently was the primary server for site creation. When sites are created they are created on the server with the least number of sites, so for the past 6 months to a year, that has been s57. And DDoS' are out of our control unfortunately. Our technicians are, however, working on the issue.
As to contacting your users there is no immediate solution, with DDoS the best thing anyone can do is sit tight and wait it out unfortunately. At the end of the day DDoS unfortunately depend solely on the part which is attacking the server as they will be overloading not just the server but the network pathways to the server as well.
