Hey all...

I wanted to ask why i am not able to TIC the box on users' settings which says allow html on forum?

i wanted to do this cause a registred member of my site said that he saw this when he used [img] and [url]

"Unallowable BB codes were found ([URL] or [IMG]). why i cant do all the smiles?"

but when i checked group settings the box "allow bbcodes" was already ticked

thx in advance

I guess it's too hard for you to follow link. Here:

Quote (Armaros)
Location:
Control Panel -> Users -> User groups -> Users.

Solution:
Edit user group -> +Users -> Mark: Use BB codes [URL] and [IMG].

cp>common settings>forum, there is this selection: "Display a block with the enumeration of user's permissions on the forum"

I cannot see this block anywhere when it's checked. Where can I see it ?

I have some members saying they can not go back and edit some of there post. They have the permissions set where they can edit their own post, Is there a section on length of time they can edit there own post? If so, Please let me know.

I have been looking on the uCoz forum for 2 days and still didn't see nothing.

Thank you

If I want to make a forum where only approved members can join. I like it just saying "Access Denied" for guests, but if someone joins the site I'd rather it forward them to a page explaining how they need to be approved first.

In other words, can I set a different redirect for different user groups? If it normally redirects to the forum, can "users" be redirected somewhere else?

SatanicRevolution, if you are using Common settings to redirect users to forum then it won't be possible. You can do the following: adjust the permissions so that a forum is visible for approved only. Leave one forum section visible for all and post your explanation. Or add a message to forum template with the explanation, and make it visible for guest and users only using conditional operators.
