1. Go to Main » RSS import and click Add RSS reader.

2. Fill in the form:

RSS feed address: Full URL of the RSS-feed, beginning with _http://... – e.g. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/rss.xml

Number of entries: – the number of entries you want to display simultaneously.

Number of columns: – the number of columns for displaying of RSS entries.

3. After you have created an RSS reader, you will need to customize its template, i.e. appearance of your RSS reader. To edit the template click the link "Template customization" near the name of the created RSS reader. A pop-up window will appear. Edit the template and click "Save".

4. Close the window with the template and copy the code of your RSS reader, e.g. $RSSIT_1$. You should paste this code into any part of the website where you want the feed to be displayed. If it is not Page Editor then into a template. In Page Editor you can insert the code into page content.

For RSS-feed insertion into Page Editor content, the modes "HTML Codes Panel" or "BB Codes Panel" should be selected.

RSS feeds of your uCoz website

RSS feeds of your website modules are available by the URL _http://website.ucoz.com/MODULE/rss, e.g. _http://website.ucoz.com/news/rss for Site News.

RSS feeds of module categories look like _http://website.ucoz.com/dir/rss-2 - where "2" is a category ID.

Blazer, the RSS will work correctly on the website only if the entries are added to the Site News module. In your case they are not. I suggest you add some news so that RSS has something to display.

Blazer, RSS shows all the changes in the entries (when you add or delete them) Try to add a new entry and you will see.
If for some reasons you still see the old information in the RSS try to use another browser or update the current one. Make sure that cookies are accepted by the browser, clear the cookies history; check whether JavaScript is enabled in your browser; clear the cache (temporary files) of the browser

zinobios, it can be done manually. To do so go to CP->RSS import->imported RSS->Template customization

zinobios, If the RSS feed has a title, then you may use the variable $TITLE$.

Sorry but the variable $TITLE$ is the title of the post of the RSS feed and no the site name of the RSS feed.
My ask is the site name of the RSS feed .

I added the http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/topstories feed to my home page http://indexforums.ucoz.com/ in place of the $content$ and html codes are appearing in the content, did I place the $RSSIT_1$ in the wrong area? (I want the feed exactly where is is)

I do not think so. We have checked http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/topstories and it seems that the problem is at yahoo.com end. I suggest you contact them with this complaint.

I contacted Yahoo and this is what they said,

It appears that your site on uCoz cannot handle image and media type RSS
feeds, which is the HTML code you are seeing. Unfortunately, we cannot
offer any assistance with regards to your site, however, you can try and
get some additional information and RSS feed requirement from uCoz.

Is that something that can be fixed?

IndexForums, we have checked your website and RSS looks different now. It looks fine. Have you made any changes?
What does Yahoo mean by "image and media type"? Which type is that?
