1. If a website can be loaded at least from one computer, then the problem is not with the uCoz system.
What is to be done? - Direct attention to your ISP.

2. If a group of websites does not load, the administration is aware and is fixing it.
What is to be done? - Wait.

3. If all but you can enter the website, then your IP is temporarily blocked because it belongs to the same network segment as the hacker's, who is attacking the server. After the attack is over the blocking will be disabled. Duration of the attack is known to the hacker only.

4. If you have just attached a domain you should wait 24 hours on the average.

5. If your website opens in one browser but doesn't open in another, then the problem is in the browser or firewall settings.

We do not inform users about unscheduled maintenance (emergency) works. In this case accept our apologies for temporarily inconvenience.

"Requested site is not registered at uCoz Web Service SITE NOT FOUND"

It means that the website with such address has never been registered at uCoz. So you have made a mistake when typing the address.

SITE NOT FOUND

The website "website_address" is disabled due to inactivity and will be deleted in several days. Restoration instructions have been sent to the registration e-mail of the website owner.

The website is disabled, because it was considered inactive. It means that no one visited the website for 40 days. An automatic notification was sent to the e-mail address of the website owner. Follow the restoration instructions there and activate your website. It needs to be done not later than 15 days after the website was disabled.

If the e-mail address of the website owner isn't confirmed, the automatic notification is not sent. If you use Yahoo as your e-mail provider, there are poor chances of receiving restoration instructions.

What should I do if I haven't received a message with the restoration link?

The message could be regarded as spam, and as a result could get into Spam/Junk folder of the e-mail service you use or could be deleted.
Please check the contents of the Spam folder, and if the message is not there contact the support service of your e-mail provider. You are the one who is their customer and you can influence the quality of their work and the correctness of mail delivery.
If you can't find this message – contact uCoz Technical Support. If you have other websites, you may contact Technical Support service via Control Panel of your active website.

What kind of message to uCoz Technical Support service should I write, if I want my website to be restored?

Do not forget to provide your website address.

SITE NOT FOUND
The requested site "site_address" is not registered at uCoz Web Service

It means that the website has been deleted and the restoration link is not active any more.

«Account is blocked»

The owner of the website who wants to recover the account should remove the reasons why the website was blocked (They are always specified in the message about blocking). And then inform the uCoz Abuse Service about it. Use this form here: http://www.ucoz.com/abuse/

What kind of message to uCoz Abuse Service should I write, in case my website is blocked?

Be sure to provide the address of your website. Specify the approximate date of blocking. Be as specific as possible, when asking questions or requesting something.

Loz, OnlineMoviesTV, UndisPuted1982, there have been numerous recent DDoS attacks on Server 57 which has lead to the amount of downtime it is currently experiencing. Our tech team are currently doing their best to limit the outages cause by these occurrences however unfortunately at times we can only do our best to get the servers running in standard mode ASAP from when this occurs.

As far as an ETA the server should be running in standard mode at the moment. wink

Thank you for this I'm sure you are all working hard to solve this problems.

My question is what I need to do (or what is protocol ) to transfer me (all my account data and everything) to another server ?
I don't wanna stay on server 57.

Thank you

OnlineMoviesTV ,

I dont believe Ucoz would transfer your site from one server to another. Considering there have seen comments around suggesting that there are 60000-70000 sites per server, it would not be cost effective for them to move sites on an indivudal basis.

Note:--- If you have more than one site then all sites within your account are not necessarily held on the same server.

If you really wish to move servers then I would suggest you backup templates and data. Create another ucoz site (checking the location is not server 57) and upload / restore the data to the new site. You would then need to point the DNS addresses etc of any domain names to the new site.

The only potential issue with this solution is where you have paid for 'hosting'. You may need to pay for it again. Although, i'm sure a nicely worded email/letter to support explaining the circumstances may result in them transfering the payment details between the old and the new site.

Hope this helps.

Paradox,

Hopefully, this is a total coincidence, but my site stigtattoo.co.uk is new. During the development in customisig the templates I made some mistakes and got my IP address banned due to too many requests. This was related to the automatic opening of thw slideshow button for an incorrect (not valid) address. I have since fixed this problem I believe.

But (it may be a coincidence) I believe I should make you aware that every time I have connected to this site, within two or three minutes server 57 goes down.

I don really understand DDoS attacks but please tell me that it is not me / my site that is causing these problems.

In hope that I am not guilty

OnlineMoviesTV, I understand your concerns entirely however it is not common for sites to be transferred cross server. Only in extremely particular circumstances is it considered, if at all, by our technical team.

Loz, you have had nothing to do with the DDoS attacks. The temporary IP-ban is somewhat a preventative measure for them making sure that users can't send high request loads/packets to the gateway causing it to overload. The uCoz servers also take quite a bit more than a single user creating high load before they go down. smile

Paradox,

Thx for reassurance .... I still find it frustrating that the site is available for just a few minutes from when i access it and then goes down for a couple of hours or more (like now)

Loz, according to your tracing results your IP was blocked by the server at that moment. Now your IP is not on the blocklist any more. If you still have the problem, please provide the tracetcp results. You can see the guide here: http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/30-2310-14360-16-1229049275
In your case the tracing command will be tracetcp s57.ucoz.net:80

OnlineMoviesTV, what error message is displayed for him?

Concerning s57 in general, it must work better now. If you still have problems, please inform.

Sunny

I am surprised and a little concerned by this.

Whilst i did have some IP blocking issues early last week due to a piece of my own code being incorrect ... I was sure that this was not the case at the specific time of the trace results (late last week).... When my IP was blocked i got the 'IP blocked ..due to too many requests' message... but at this time i was simply getting the timeout message.

If i am correct the DDoS attacks occurred very frequently from Thursday night (uk time) until Sunday. I was getting timeout messages throughout this period.

Regarding the IP blocking issue :-

In the photo module main page ... I replaced the following code :-

<div align="center">$SLIDESHOW_BUTTON$</div>
by
<div align="center"><script>this.disabled=true;_uPostForm('',{url:'/photo/0-0-0-21'});</script>
$SLIDESHOW_BUTTON$</div>
to get the desired result of the slideshow automatically playing on page open.

This code appears to work NOW ... but originally I typed the URL wrong which caused the upostform request to loop and hence too many requests.

If you believe this code will cause IP blocking problems in the future .. please advise

It won't if it is not called too often. I suggest that you read the info in the following thread: http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/31-13761-1
