my site poolcheckers.ucoz.com does not show on this shared computer - Google can not find no references, yahoo finds some but still can not open the site. Tried a dozen times ober several months. My users in Africa (internet cafes) have same problem.

My site poolcheckers.ucoz.com is not visible on some computers, in US and abroad. Google does not find it, Yahoo finds the name as a link but the site would not open.
Yet other ucoz sites that I help with, they open fine. I know they paid for something, perhaps that makes the site legit. Any suggestions? The topic is "Inaccessible sites" thus I chose it as the most matching to my problem. Also - my problem is not with Google or Yahoo - the site is visible at home and and work, and both Google and Yahoo readily finds it at these locations. But the shared computers at my sport club do not open the site, and to help you identify the problem I mentioned that the search engines also do not find the site. After about 30 seconds of trying I am redirected to some other search option (do you mean ....?) One possibility is that the club's computers network is set to filter out Ucoz site - maybe porn, I do not know. But other ucoz sites that I know, I assume they purchased a separate domain or something like that, are visible. All this is my attempts to help you figure all this out, the fact remains that the site is inaccessible in the USA and in Africa on shared computers. This is from a "good" computer where I can see the site.

Hello everyone, I have been having a similar problem on my website http://mbwacoven.ucoz.com
It seems that many members of my site can not access it for about a week now. I asked one of my members to give me access to their computer to run some tests and see what their problem could be and the trace route stopped at their provider's IP so I guess that it's a local problem but the question is, how could it be a local problem since many of my members can not access the site? I tried to access the main ucoz.com site from their computer and some other ucoz sites (another ucoz site of mine) and it seemed to be working just fine. I also tried to access the CP of my site (mbwacoven) from their computer (through the webtop and by /admin) but nothing worked. I am not from the UK by the way. leffe, I have checked your website and accessed it without problems. Which error text do users see, when logging in your website?
I suggest you advise them to: 1. Disable your firewall, antivirus while running diagnostics; 2. Disable the traffic saving services (e.g., Traffic Compressor); 3. Disable the torrent client or any other services that can create a lot of connections, if any; 4. Try to use another browser or update the current one. Maybe some necessary browser functions are disabled or are working incorrectly. If your Internet Explorer version is less than 8 – install latest Windows updates, or install Internet Explorer 8 as a separate package; if you use Opera version less than 10.60 or Firefox less than 3.6.3 – update the browser. 5. Make sure that cookies are accepted by the browser, clear the cookies history; check whether JavaScript is enabled in your browser; clear the cache (temporary files) of the browser |
Everything seems to be working perfect on their end, Natashko, they can access other .ucoz sites but this one (s49).. I have also tried to load s49.ucoz.net on their comp but the same problem appeared. Then I tried with other servers (like s50) and it redirected to the main ucoz site.
The error text they see is "connection timed out" or something like that. |

For the first one, I have been trying to help them get it working days now but I got nowhere.. Most likely it's their provider's fault or whatever
Now the second one, they can access other ucoz sites of mine.. O.o If it was a mis-set network options, wouldn't they be unable to access them? There are also other members complaining about this one site of mine yet they can access other sites I have under uCoz.. Maybe it's just the s49 server they can not access? |
