Quote (Meddy) EnglishPimp, why do you think ISPs wouldn't cooperate? You are a client and they should help. Quote (EnglishPimp) Yes, they should. I asked Virgin Media and they said they didn't filter traffic. According to them, they have nothing to do with what goes wrong on some third party's servers When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then, I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way;
So I stole one and asked Him to forgive me. Post edited by EnglishPimp - Wednesday, 2008-12-17, 6:09 PM

I attached a tracert.
ALSO: It seems that only the s102 uCoz sites are the ones that UK people can't get to.

Quote (EnglishPimp) I guess that they are bringing 'Russian - UK' political ties in the way. just fyi... all countries filter some kind of traffic, exactly like recently germany wont let people on wikimedia anymore. I know that a lot of information on hitler is no longer available outside of Germany, as some organisation decided that it was more harmful than helpful, and that only germany needed to learn that what he did wasnt good... |

I know that a lot of information on hitler is no longer available outside of Germany, as some organisation decided that it was more harmful than helpful, and that only germany needed to learn that what he did wasnt good... aswell as a lot of information about september 11th is no longer available in the us and in the uk... soo yea... believe me... its not only russia. so please refrain from using such statements... thanks =] Did you read my complete message? I think not. I didn't accuse Russia of anything. Now, about solution to the problem: I have downloaded and used the trial version of the software ProxyWay (I am not spamming!) and now I am able to access my websites. The link is: http://www.proxyway.com It's working perfect. Now I can put a stupid grin on my face When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike. How do I determine the port number?!
Quote (EnglishPimp) www.proxyway.com It's funny, how you said it makes the uCoz sites work, when for me, it makes all the other sites not work. And no, uCoz still doesn't work. Post edited by Nixot - Sunday, 2008-12-21, 0:50 AM

Quote (Nixot) www.proxyway.com It's funny, how you said it makes the uCoz sites work, when for me, it makes all the other sites not work. And no, uCoz still doesn't work. It's not funny. It's your bad luck! if I have that program working perfect, then why should I worry? Certainly I am happy For a guy like me who is keen of surfing anonymously (IP addresses are no more safe, scammers, sniffers etc.etc.), it is a perfect solution to surf the web, not just for accessing Ucoz. Now, at least I am able to access and update my websites via either www.proxyway.com or www.proxyswitcher.com Unless you would not configure it properly for your browser, it will not work and will only su*k your computer You are not forced to use it. If you feel it difficult to configure proxy and IP address settings, I would suggest you to simply uninstall the program and live a trouble free life For members whose IP addresses are fixed, assigned by the DHCP server, you can use proxies. For other members, you can try to manually change the IP address of your computer and then access your Ucoz websites and see if it works. Another solution is for users is for those Ucoz website owners who don't have too many members on their forums and too much data. The problem is that the Ucoz servers log the IP address of computer (computer is in the U.K) on which you signup for a web account. After some time, the servers block only that specific IP address. For those of you who don't have enough members and data, you can sit on some another computer, delete your Ucoz web account and make it again BUT this time on some computer that you will NOT use in the future for accessing and updating your websites. Now you should be able to access your websites on your desired computer. In other words, the server has blocked another IP address; not of your office / college or home computer that you will frequently use. * Before you delete your current Ucoz account, remember to save your website settings (on offline storage) for your new account. You can save your designs/layout/templates by saving their code in some text file(s) on your computer's hard disk by going into the control pannel section of your Ucoz account. Just save your all HTML and CSS to your local disk if you made changes to the Ucoz original templates. In your new Ucoz account, you will simply copy/cut and paste that code in the HTML editor area (in the control pannel) of files/pages. Although Ucoz is working on the problem and will solve it, but when it's about solving the problem (be it a temporary solution) then why should not the members avail it in order to save time? Finally, the members interested in the above mentioned approach will do it on their own. I am not forcing any member to follow my advice; may be as a last resort you can give it a try. When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then, I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way;
So I stole one and asked Him to forgive me. Post edited by EnglishPimp - Tuesday, 2008-12-23, 0:36 AM

Add me to the list of people unable to view their site. The only way i can view my site is by using http://anonymouse.org
Are Ucoz blocking UK ip's? (I don't mean to imply Ucoz would intentionally block ip's). All traceroutes performed report no problems.

Nixot, you should use program like VisualRoute 2008.
Quaizy, Ucoz don't block UK ip's, quite the contrary somewhere on UK canal's sites located on 102 server are blocked What did your providers tell you about this? |
First let me say that i am not blamming anybody or accusing anyone of anything but just trying to provide information about something i don't understand that may be helpfull to Ucoz in sorting out this problem.
I have talked to my provider UKOnline, but being the weekend the tech department is closed, however they did monitor me as i attempted to connect to davenny.ucoz.com They say that the request reaches s102.ucoz.net and goes no further and have suggested that the s102.ucoz.net server may be blocking my ip. As several people in the UK cannot connect i know it is not just my ip. UKOnline's technical department will be calling me back to "provide further assistance" but it may not be until the New Year. Added (2008-12-22, 12:44 Pm) I've done all about i can do, i hope you guys can resolve the issue soon. |
