Secret question is an important part of website security. Password changing, changing of security levels, deinstallation of modules - all this is possible only if you know the answer to the secret question. That's why don't rely on your memory and save answers on paper or in files protected by passwords.

The answer to the secret question can be changed in Webtop ( at guid.uid.me) -> U -> Setting -> Profile settings -> Security, but only if you know the current answer.

If you forgot the answer to the secret question contact Technical Support via your Control Panel ("Help" tab) and provide proofs that the website is yours.

Or use the following form if you do not have access to your Control Panel: http://www.ucoz.com/contact/

Well, I am the owner of a site that has been passed on 3 times (Me being the 3rd owner) the first owner has forgotten the secret password answer. Due do this, every member that has ever been an admin has access to the CP, this is worrying as it could easily get around and the site could be hacked. I have no way to prove that the website belongs to me. Should I contact the previous owner and ask him to try and contact technical support?

Assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

just contact them and tech support afterwards

VizardFerrer, where is the website now? In whose Webtop is it? if it was transfered to your Webstop - the answer to the secret question is the answer to the secret question in your webtop. In this case you may contact uCoz Technical support.
If it is still in the webtop of one of the former owners - you need to to provide 2 notarized copies of the document that says that former owners do not mind you having the answer to the secret question.

Hm..which document is this? I've never seen it, let alone heard about it.

So basically, I need to contact the first owner, get him to give me these 2 documents, then I need to contact tech. support and they will tell me the answer to the secret password? Okay, I'll get on it.

VizardFerrer, you can also ask the 1st owner to transfer his website to your Webtop

ask him to do this go to CP --> Security --> Change of the site owner --> and let him transfer the website to your uNet account or User e-mail
