Can't connect to a uCoz website

When posting messages here, make sure that the website is inaccessible for everyone and not just for you.

  • Provide the link to the inaccessible website.
  • Specify its server number if you know it.
  • Post the traceroute results (see the instructions here: http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/30-2310-1 ). If your website is inaccessible and you see Error 500 or 404 there is no need in providing the tracing results.
  • Indicate your IP address
  • If you can open the website in one browser, but can't do it in another, it means that there is a problem with browser settings or firewall.
  • If other users can access your website and you can't, most probably there are problems at your provider's end. See more here: http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/31-467-2258-16-1206449310

I agree with this statement. It seems like every week or two it's down. Very unreliable.

QueenMaa, why DDoS attacks happen? The reasons vary. You can read additional info on DDoS attacks at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack . I should say that as a rule it's not uCoz itself that is a target, but rather one of hosted websites. Much also depends on the strength of an attack, most of them are repelled successfully and our users don't even notice them.

Server 57 is down again. I've been having nothing but problems due to this. I have stuff that's trying to pull via RSS posting to my site's linked Facebook account and it keeps stopping because the site is down. Not to mention, the site is needed for what we are doing tomorrow night and from past experience it won't be up in time to use it. I'm starting to get really disappointed with this server altogether.
