Hello,
I understand that Server 57 is undergoing a DDoS Attack as related to the uCoz Server Status page. My website has been unavailable for a few days now(I can not reach the page, as well as my regular website visitors have reported the same). When will this be resolved, what measures are you taking to ensure that this will not happen again or less frequently, and how are you going to compensate your customers for the downtime? Thank you. STaTiCShoX, as Sunny has said before, our technicians do all possible to make it that DDoS attacks are little of an inconvenience to our users. It is not uncommon for us to experience a number of them daily across multiple servers, fortunately, most of these however are small to moderate and our system combats them and no downtime is experienced by our users. When we experience a larger DDoS that does effect our servers, yes, it takes down a chunk of our network section and we actively work to ensure these do not happen too frequently, and in addition that we implement better performing measures to combat these. And as far as I am aware there is no compensation at this moment in time. These attacks are out of our control and are not a result of any direct or indirect action taken by uCoz.
yasa, there are measures that can be taken to detect the exact domain targeted by such attacks, however, as I have said above such matters are handled internally by our technical division and I personally don't know of any company that actively shares information with their users regarding the origination point, and target location of DDoS attacks. Jack of all trades in development, design, strategy.

Paradox ,i think ,if you want to detect the exact domain, you need to add some temporary servers like:
s57a ip=193.109.246.158 s57b ip=193.109.246.159 s57c ip=193.109.246.160 s57d ip=193.109.246.161 ... then put 50 websites in server s57a only,and 50 websites in s57b .... then wait a new attack ddos, then you will know the exact domain. thank you |

Did you actually read what I wrote? Such matters are handled internally by our technical division. We have a team of specialists which know what they are doing. It's best we move on from this topic as I don't see the point in us continuing to go in circles regarding this. Jack of all trades in development, design, strategy.
