Domain Transfer: General Discussion |
General Information It is possible to attach a custom domain to your uCoz website, e.g. mysite.com, mysite.net etc., for FREE.
Domain Attachment FAQ Question: How can I create a subdomain? Answer: Please see the following guide: http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/54-435-6436-16-1218803195 Question: Can I attach two domains to my website? Answer: No, it is not possible. Question: Can I change the ucoz domain, e.g.: mysite.ucoz.co.uk to mysiteEtc.ucoz.co.uk. Is this allowed and how? Answer: No, once you have chosen a domain name you cannot change it, you can only create a new website. Question: How do i setup my uCoz web page in my own domain? I did try but failed. I can see this error message: The domain djcaner.biz has been parked but not yet attached to the account. Domain has incorrect set of name servers: ns1.hostavrupa.net, ns2.hostavrupa.net The following list of the name servers must be applied: ns1.ucoz.net, ns2.ucoz.net Answer: The system gives you the answer: You must change the name servers in the domain control panel (your account on the website where you registered the domain). 1. How to Attach a Domain by Method 2: http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/54-18149-1 2. How to Attach a Domain by Method 3: http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/54-18150-1 What's the difference between Method 2 and Method 3? When you use Method 2, your new domain is hosted at uCoz servers. If you use Method 3 - you just change the domain name (to be more precise you just get one more name for your site because it will be accessible by both names - the new one and the old one) but your domain remains hosted at another registrar's servers. So the difference is in the place where your new domain is hosted - either at uCoz or not. I'm not active on the forum anymore. Please contact other forum staff.

Quote (albhack) Thanks Natashko and shadowslash, well i dont really know much about google apps ...my understanding is that i have to open flyers.ucoz.org than have my subdomain flyers.shopcenter.ca attached If you're somewhat familiar with Google Sites, you can see a sample. The one I used on my previous event. You can view it at http://soon.shadowslash.tk/. That supposedly is sort of an info subdomain wherein you can do the same with your flyer's subdomain. Take note that that's made from Google Sites btw. "Friends don't let friends use Internet Explorer 6." - Microsoft || Join the cause. Help your friends.

Ariosh, You can have a free third-level domain name from uCoz at registration of the website. (zone ru com net org).
You can have a second-level domain name for free from uCoz if you buy a package of services for a year. (zone ru com net org) Here https://domain.ucoz.com/user/finance/price/ you can see all the other zones in which you can buy a domain name from uCoz. If you would like to purchase domain from us this is the link with prices but keep in mind they are in rubles https://domain.ucoz.com/user/finance/price/. You may use the services of any other registrar. http://www.godaddy.com/ |
I want to attach domain ( from co.cc ) on my ucoz account but I have doubt if I attach any domain (eg mysite.co.cc ) on ucoz, can I able to access my current domain on ucoz like (bijaya.do.am ) or not ??
Visit my website to have video chat with more than 1000 strangers online.
www.bijaya.do.am |
yes , you can still acces your old domain , but then it will automaticly transfer you to you co.cc website url , like if you type the .do.am website it will send you to .co.cc directly

bijayapaudel,
Quote (Animorph) yes , you can still acces your old domain , but then it will automaticly transfer you to you co.cc website url , like if you type the .do.am website it will send you to .co.cc directly This is the first option. The second option is that you go to Control panel:Settings->Common settings and set up the feature which allows you to have your website available under two domain names. (without automatical redirection to the attached domain) See more about domain attachment here http://forum.ucoz.ru/forum/31-28494-1 |

Hello,
I would like to turn my website.ucoz.com into a real domain webpage...possibly a .net or .com webpage. I have created my ucoz website first and now I want to transfer all of the information and templates to a .net or .com webpage. Is that possible and how it should be done? Also will I be able to continue to change things through UCOZ and they to appear on my webpage domain of .net or .com??? There is also a paid option from ucoz in CP there is "$" sign where you can click and choose from a variety of options? do you think this way it would be better and at the same time to be able to get your webpage? |

Beauty_Rush, you need to buy a domain name in .net or .com zone and attach it to your uCoz website. in this way your website will be available under both domain names. All the changes will be shown under both addresses. Is that what you are interested in?
If you want to transfer your website to another hosting - see this http://faq.ucoz.com/faq/0-0-38 |
Hello and ...sorry to bother you, people.
I already attached a mysite.com domain to my site, but can i attach one more domain name...maybe to one of my pages? Or what are the options? I just need my site to have 2 domain names ... Possible or not? Maybe one of my pages can have a different domain name? maybe i should create one more site (1 page only) and attach a domain i want to it and then link to this site like it is one of the pages of my main web site? Do you think it will work? Would search engines index site with one page? Just give me an advice... Maybe it's just not worth it... Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
