Domain Transfer: General Discussion |
General Information It is possible to attach a custom domain to your uCoz website, e.g. mysite.com, mysite.net etc., for FREE.
Domain Attachment FAQ Question: How can I create a subdomain? Answer: Please see the following guide: http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/54-435-6436-16-1218803195 Question: Can I attach two domains to my website? Answer: No, it is not possible. Question: Can I change the ucoz domain, e.g.: mysite.ucoz.co.uk to mysiteEtc.ucoz.co.uk. Is this allowed and how? Answer: No, once you have chosen a domain name you cannot change it, you can only create a new website. Question: How do i setup my uCoz web page in my own domain? I did try but failed. I can see this error message: The domain djcaner.biz has been parked but not yet attached to the account. Domain has incorrect set of name servers: ns1.hostavrupa.net, ns2.hostavrupa.net The following list of the name servers must be applied: ns1.ucoz.net, ns2.ucoz.net Answer: The system gives you the answer: You must change the name servers in the domain control panel (your account on the website where you registered the domain). 1. How to Attach a Domain by Method 2: http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/54-18149-1 2. How to Attach a Domain by Method 3: http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/54-18150-1 What's the difference between Method 2 and Method 3? When you use Method 2, your new domain is hosted at uCoz servers. If you use Method 3 - you just change the domain name (to be more precise you just get one more name for your site because it will be accessible by both names - the new one and the old one) but your domain remains hosted at another registrar's servers. So the difference is in the place where your new domain is hosted - either at uCoz or not. I'm not active on the forum anymore. Please contact other forum staff.

Quote HeinLay, the domain www.Grou.ps is in use. If you want to attach any other domain name, you have to purchase it with any registrar. And attach it to your domain dagonuniversity.ucoz.net This link might be helpful in the process of attaching a domain http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/37-435-1 What problem? If I ask to Grou.ps like "I own a domain (http://www.dagonuniversity.com).I used it with Grou.ps service. Now,we can't get own domain without payment. So I decided to change to uCoz. When I attach domain to uCoz,their system said "Impossible to park the specified domain, its subdomain is already parked for another account." They answer "This is not related with GROU.PS. Therefore you should ask for supporting from uCoz" HELP! uCoz forever user from

I successfully attached my grou.ps account to a subdomain on my uCoz site before. However, I believe recently, they (GROU,PS) changed their policy and now you need to purchase a membership or subscription of some sort from GROU.PS before you can attach it to a domain or a subdomain. Apparently and unfortunately that's all I think I can provide info for. "Friends don't let friends use Internet Explorer 6." - Microsoft || Join the cause. Help your friends.

Natashko,
i need to tranfer the site i made on uzoc, to the adress that i have: www.montrealpdi.com.br . And i need to keep the emails that i already have (@montrealpdi.com.br) I already tried both methods (method 2 and 3) and it didn´t work. Post edited by canhoto - Tuesday, 2010-11-30, 12:32 PM

canhoto, you need to attach domain name www.montrealpdi.com.br to the domain name you have now with uCoz. But domain name www.montrealpdi.com.br is already in use. It can be used only by one website at a time. That is why you can dis-attach domain name www.montrealpdi.com.br from the current website and attach it to uCoz website (of course, if domain www.montrealpdi.com.br is yours)

Quote (MaRiO3719) I have an domain: www.warcs.ro and I can't atach it.Why?Can you help me? When I visited your domain, it says that your account has been suspended. This might explain why the domain attaching is failing. You need to resolve the issue with your domain first. "Friends don't let friends use Internet Explorer 6." - Microsoft || Join the cause. What's more, you'll also be using the ghs.google.com for that subdomain. I did this before when I had an upcoming event. It's really easy and if you have trouble setting it up, feel free to drop me a message here. "Friends don't let friends use Internet Explorer 6." - Microsoft || Join the cause. Help your friends.
